Twang Ball

What’s it all about?

Scarf Lady introduces Sarah & Duck to a new game involving knitted sporting equipment.

This is the episode where:

• Sarah & Duck are walking in the park when they find Scarf Lady knitting all the pieces for a game called ‘Twang Ball’ – where you make the rules up as you go along

• There aren’t enough players so Sarah asks her friends in the park if they want to join in – there aren’t any rules to explain so it is hard to get people to play

• Sarah makes up some rules to include things that her friends enjoy – for example: dancing, asking questions and safety. Plate Girl, Flamingo & John and Scooter Boy agree to join in.

• Scarf Lady twangs the wool balls into the air for the players to catch in their hats – if they catch the ball they have to perform a task set by the other players to win the point

• Everyone has lots of fun but Scarf Lady twangs the last ball too high (it even reaches Cloud Captain!)

• The game ends in a draw and everyone has had a great time
