What’s it all about?

Scarf Lady’s poetry records inspire a snowy train ride to the mountains.

This is the episode where:

• Sarah & Duck are at Scarf Lady’s house listening to a Poetry Pete record on the jukebox

• His poetry inspires them to take a trip to the mountains in search of the mountain mints

• Sarah, Duck and Scarf Lady take the mountain train all the way to Peak Top Station

• When they arrive, they realise Plate Girl was also on the train too!

• At the top of the mountain, they find Poetry Pete, who recites some poetry and gives them some mountain mints before they head home – skiing all the way back down the mountain with Scarf Lady!

This is what we learn...

  • Poetry can be very inspirational
  • Mountains can be very snowy – especially as you get closer to the top (also known as the ‘peak’)
  • Not all poetry has to rhyme, but Poetry Pete is very good at it
  • ‘Poetic licence’ is the freedom a poet has to ignore facts and make their poems more interesting – like the fact that mountains are not made of mint!
