What’s it all about?

Mars tries to fill in for a missing Moon, but needs a little coaching from Sarah & Duck.

This is the episode where:

• Sarah & Duck are looking for Moon to ask him for a bedtime story, but they can’t find him anywhere in the night sky

• Moon doesn’t seem to be at work yet, so Mars decides to fill in for him – but Sarah & Duck can’t get to sleep because Mars is too loud and too bright!

• With nothing left to do, Sarah & Duck decide to help Mars practice being still and quiet, and making a nice gentle light like Moon – but he’s really not very good at it!

• Venus helps Sarah & Duck to find Moon, who had fallen into a deep sleep on the bus while on his way to work

• Moon gets himself to work and lets Mars off the hook. Mars is rather relieved.

This is what we learn...

  • It’s difficult to go to sleep when there is a lot of noise
  • People are very different – we don’t all have the same skills and some people are better at certain things than others
  • Moon is very good at being still and quiet and making a gentle glow
  • Mars finds it hard to whisper, and likes to play the maracas (a musical instrument that you shake!)
