What’s it all about?
When Umbrella gets left on the bus, Sarah & Duck head to the bus depot in search of their friend.
This is the episode where:
• Sarah & Duck take Umbrella on his first ever bus ride to the Big Shop – but they almost miss their stop and have to get off quickly, accidentally leaving Umbrella on the bus.
• They wait for the next bus and the driver tells them that anyone left on board gets dropped off at the depot. The driver offers to take them there.
• When Sarah & Duck arrive at the depot, the driver shows them to the Umbrella Stand – a rumpus-room for lost umbrellas to amuse themselves in until their friends come to pick them up
• Sarah & Duck go inside and search for Umbrella – it’s like a soft play centre for Umbrellas and it’s pure chaos!
• They eventually find Umbrella on the top deck, fast asleep. He says that he’s had the best day and asks if they can come again!
This is what we learn...
- It’s good to pay attention on the bus so that you don’t miss your stop
- Things that are lost on buses are often taken to the bus depot – a place where all the buses park at the end of the day
- A ‘rumpus room’ is a bit like a soft-play centre – a place for children (or umbrellas) to play games and have fun
- It’s exciting to have new adventures
