Auto Cat
Season 3 – Episode 10
What’s it all about?
Duck has some competition for Sarah’s attention when a brand new toy arrives.
This is the episode where:
• Sarah & Duck are playing a game of ‘Lizard Monster’ when a new toy arrives in the post for Sarah – an Auto Cat!
• Sarah & Duck continue playing but Auto Cat needs Sarah to feed it, take it to the toilet, and to give it lots of attention. Auto Cat interrupts their game, and Duck feels very left out.
• Duck joins Sarah on the patio to window watch but Auto Cat interrupts them again
• Duck gets so sad that Sarah thinks he is poorly and takes him to the vet – but the receptionist tells Sarah that Duck just needs his friend back. She advises that she turns off her Auto Cat for a while.
• Sarah turns off Auto Cat and they go home to finish their game
This is what we learn...
- It is easy to get distracted by with new things – especially new toys!
- But it’s important that we try to include our friends, so that they don’t feel left out
- It’s natural to feel jealous and a bit sad if we feel left out
- If our friends are feeling sad, it’s good to try and help
- Sometimes friends just need to be reminded that we love them!
