What’s it all about?

Duck keeps oversleeping, so Sarah decides he needs his own alarm clock.

This is the episode where:

• Sarah has made toast for breakfast but Duck has overslept and his toast has gone cold – so they decide to go the Big Shop to get Duck his very own alarm clock.

• At the Big Shop, Sarah & Duck follow the ‘tick tock’ sounds to find the clocks in the clock department

• They see lots of different types of clocks on their way, including great big grandfather clocks, cuckoo clocks, wall clocks, pocket watches, and sundials

• Sarah finds a box of egg timer alarm clocks and Duck especially likes the one that runs very fast! They chase it all through the Big Shop – Sarah eventually catches it in a pet carrier with a hamster wheel inside.

• Back at home, Sarah sets Duck’s new alarm clock and he goes off to sleep knowing he will be up for warm toast in the morning!

This is what we learn...

  • There are lots of different types of clocks – all of them help us to tell the time
  • Alarm clocks help us to wake up in the morning
  • Grandfather clocks are very tall, and pocket watches are small watches that fit in your pocket!
  • Egg timer clocks are shaped like eggs and make a loud sound when the timer runs out!
