Whats it all about?

Scarf Lady is holding a ‘Wool on Wheels’ sale in the park, but the weather is causing a problem.

This is the episode where:

• Scarf lady sets up a ‘Wool on Wheels’ stall at the park (using her old ice cream van) so that she can sell her woolly leftovers

• Sarah & Duck offer to help, but they don’t get any customers because it’s not the right weather for knitted items – it’s too hot!

• Sarah & Duck do some market research to find out what customers would like to buy

• Scarf Lady knits some new items based on the market research – but knitted sunglasses, sun hats and knitted frisbees don’t really work as intended. It’s just not the right weather for wool!

• Luckily Sarah realises that the knitted flying discs make a perfect knit-sit so you don’t get grass stains on your bottom

• Scarf Lady re-knits everything into lovely ‘knit-sits’ for everyone in the park and they get lots of happy customers

This is what we learn...

  • Market research is where you find out what customers would like to buy
  • Knitted items will make you too hot in warm weather!
  • Not everything works when knitted – sometimes it’s just not the right weather for wool
  • Creative thinking can often help you find good solutions
