What’s it all about?

The Art Gallery is holding a celebration of the colour pink and Sarah is keen to take part.

This is the episode where:

• Sarah & Duck visit the playground where they bump into Flamingo & John

• Flamingo & John are practicing being pink for The Art of Pink Day at the Art Gallery

• Sarah wants to join in, so they go home to get as pink as possible by dressing up and eating pink food

• Sarah puts on a pink hat to match her top, and eats some pink jelly to make sure she’s pink enough on the inside too

• At the exhibition, they see pink pencils, a pink chess board, a pink tractor, pink dots, and a pink ‘colour shape’ tree that dings and tinkles

•  Sarah, Duck, Scooter Boy, Plate Girl, John and Flamingo also discover a ‘pinkometer’ that tells them how pink they are – they all try it out

• Not surprisingly, because Flamingo is actually pink, she wins the competition, doing a lovely dance. She wins a trophy!

This is what we learn...

  • Art galleries are fun places to visit
  • Art galleries often have exhibitions that celebrate certain things – in this case, the colour pink!
  • Taking part is fun even if you don’t win
  • We should always try to make our friends feel better if they feel sad or disappointed
  • It’s nice to celebrate with our friends when they do well!
