Whats it all about?
Sarah is inspired by listening to a poetry record and decides to make up some poetry of her own.
This is the episode where:
• Sarah & Duck are helping Scarf Lady to clean the records from her jukebox
• Sarah comes across a poetry record by Poetry Pete and they decide to have a listen
• Sarah decides to make up some of her own poetry but realises that it’s not as easy as it seems – she needs some inspiration!
• She searches for some inspiration on her way home and around the house – and finally finds some in the park
• Sarah eventually makes up a lovely poem about her favourite place – the park bench
This is what we learn...
- A jukebox is a machine that usually plays lots of music, but they can also play poetry records
- Inspiration means getting ideas and motivation from things around you
- You need inspiration to write poetry – the more you care about the thing, the better your poetry will be!
- Poetry doesn’t have to rhyme, but rhyming is fun!
